Project Details

“Mottainai” is an old Japanese expression that loosely translates as “too valuable to waste”, a philosophy which was appropriate for this eco-friendly building. The project was the conversion of two adjacent, condemned 1870s Italianate buildings into eight LEED certified lofts complete with innovative, green finishes, amazing downtown views, and custom finishes and design surprises throughout (such as custom stone door numbering systems, hand-made towel racks, and other fun features). Working in conjunction with Wichman Gunther Architects, the team was able to breathe new life into these historic structures.
